Ruling and Building Your Village
I, Sir Save-a-lot, welcome you to my kingdom. You are now a member of my realm and ruler of your own village. Ruling your own village is a lot of responsibility, but I know you’re up to the job.
Your goal is to build up your village to be as big as possible. How do you build your village, it all starts with chores. I know, I know. Chores are no fun. But now the chores you do will allow you to earn both real money, to save up for the things you really want, and give you gold to build your village.
When your parent set up your account, they picked certain chores for you to do, along with when they should be done, and how much you’ll get paid to do them. After you log in, go to the Chores page to view them. You will also need to set up what goals you’re saving for. You can do this, and track your progress toward them on the Goals page. Once you’ve done a chore on your list, go to the Record Progress page and check it off the list. When you check it off, your reward will be split up between the goals you set. And, you’ll earn gold for all this to help grow your village!
Earning Gold and Growing
When you complete a chore, finish up a goal, or answer my quiz questions, I will give you gold. When you have enough gold, you can build houses for your village. Since people are always wanting to move in, as you build new buildings, new citizens will come to live in them immediately. So, the more houses you can build and the bigger you can make them, the better! The number of people living in your village and the amount of gold you have make up your rank, so you can compete against other kids from around the world to see who can grow the biggest village.

Protecting Your Villagers
At the same time, you must protect your village against the Debt Dragon. It normally sleeps in its cave, but every now and then, when you least expect, it comes out and tries to burn down your village with its hot, fiery (and not so great smelling) breath. Dragons are allergic to gold, so the only weapons that really work in scaring them off are ones made of gold. It takes a lot of gold coins to make solid gold weapons, so you’ll need to keep enough gold in your savings to make enough weapons to defend against the attack. You never know when the dragon is going to attack, or how strong his attack will be, so be sure to protect your village by keeping enough gold on hand to repel it.

The Secret to Success
That means you have to divide your gold between buying buildings and keeping enough around to repel the Debt Dragon. Buy too many buildings and let your supply of gold get too low and the dragon could come out and burn up all of your nice new buildings. That would really make your villagers hot under the collar. Keep plenty of gold around and you would be protected from the dragon, but there might not be much to protect. The key to success is to find the right balance between buying buildings and keeping enough gold around to repel the dragon—that and a little luck, because you never know when the Debt Dragon will come out of his cave or just how bad his breath will be.
Need more gold? Just do more chores, finish up your goals, and come back to this site often. That would make your Mom and Dad and your villagers very happy. The bragging rights for having the biggest village are free.
